Liberty Town Productions, nfp,was founded in Fall 2008 by Terry Bangs, Lizz Dabney, Cathy Heller, Dustin Helvie and Barry Reszel.

All were principals in St. Joseph Church's Joe! Productions' stagings of Godspell and Children of Eden and believed their successes there should continue in the broader community.

While musical theatre is the thread that ties Liberty Town's leaders (the founders were joined by Scott Metzger on the board of directors in 2010), the organization is intentionally set up as an entertainment production company to be a catalyst for myriad artistic entertainment in greater Libertyville, whether self-produced or brought to town.

Ian Liberto is a Libertyville native professional actor, dancer and singer in New York. His most recent Broadway credits include Promises, Promises, Billy Elliott and How to Suceed in Business... Ian was also seen on the national broadcasts of the Tony Awards and the Kennedy Center Honors.

We met Ian when he became our choreographer for Children of Eden, and

he gave up a piece of his summer in 2009 to lend some celebrity status to

our first Musical Summer Showcase. He is forever

our friend.
