Perform, Help Backstage, Design or Build Sets, Coordinate Props, Figure Out Costumes, Choreograph, Babysit our Cast’s Kids, Work with Lights or Sound...or do something else... The cost for rights, rentals, equipment, etc. for us to stage a typical community musical is, generally, $10,000-$12,000. Considering our average ticket cost of $15 ($20 for adults, $10 for students), if we sell out three shows in a 200-seat venue, our revenue is $9,000. Most often, it’s
closer to $6,000. Bottom line...we count on
generous patrons to keep us performing.
