Liberty Town Productions announces open auditions for our Fifth Annual Musical Summer Showcase
Our annual Best of Broadway summer showcase has become so popular with performers, we decided this year to have open e-auditions for the 16 or so spots in the Aug. 3 shows. So...here's what you have to do to be considered...
1. Be a high school graduate (or older) by August 3, 2013.
2. Be available the evening of Friday, August 2, and all day Saturday, August 3, for rehearsals...as well as for both shows the evening of August 3. (There may be additional optional rehearsals during the summer).
3. Send an e-mail By Midnight, May 12 to libertytownproductions@gmail.com with the names of at least three songs from musicals you might like to sing (these can be solos, duets, trios, quartets, etc.).
4. Attach to that e-mail or include a link within the e-mail itself to a video or audio clip of you singing something you are particularly proud of (it does not have to be one of the songs you list). Because you will be up against stiff competition for limited spots in this year's showcase, this clip should show off your voice well!
Even if you have been in a past Liberty Town show or showcase, you must send a clip to be considered; we want to be fair to everyone who wants to sing. Our criteria for choosing the showcase participants will be vocal quality and variety.
